How To Hide A Facebook Status/Photo From A Specific Person Or A Group Of People
Facebook, the most commonly used social network which is used by most of the people. When it comes to Online Life, Privacy is must. Here, in this post we will be teaching you How to Hide a Facebook Status From a Specific Person.
This is just because of people who are concerned about privacy, Facebook originated the Custom Privacy option. Using the custom privacy option of Facebook you can hide a status from a specific person/a group of people and in the contradictory using the custom privacy option you can also share the status with Specific people/group of people. So if you want to share something with specific person/group of people or if you want to hide a particular status with a specific person/group of people you can always use the custom privacy.
We’ve known enough about custom privacy, but just knowing won’t help us, so I’m here to teach you how to use custom privacy option on Facebook. You can use this option to hide the Facebook status from your girl friend/boy friend, teacher, boss, School members, company employees etc.
Write the status you want to update in the updater and after writing the status locate for the custom privacy option which is located in the bottom right side of the status updater after you find the custom privacy option just click on it. See the image below for Reference
After clicking you will see a box gets loaded which would like the image below, This box is nothing but the box of custom privacy, since the custom privacy allows you to share as well as hide a status with specific people or a group of people, the Box was created.
To Hide Facebook Status From a Specific Person/ Group.
See the above image and as said in the image don’t manipulate the part which is shown in the image, now below the lightened part you would see a cross like icon saying “Don’t share with” in the field what you have to do is just enter the name of the people with whom you don’t want to share the status/image you are posting. If you want to hide the status from a group of people you will have to create a list and add those people in the list and enter the name of the list in the field. Look the images below
That’s it you’ve done with hiding the Facebook status from a specific person/ group of people. Click on Save button and then you will see that the box get’s closed and the click on share button. Click on Share and the status will now be hidden from the people and lists which were selected in the custom privacy option.
To Share the Facebook Status with Specific People/Group of people.
See the image above and as said in the image, follow. Now you would see that on the top of the Custom Privacy box you would see a Green tick mark icon saying “Share with” and a combo box next to it, to share a status with specific person you will have to create a list and add that person to the list and select the name of the list which you will see in the combo box. If you want to share it with multiple people and not with other friends then add the people to the list with whom you want to share. That's it you've done!
Click on Save button and then you will see that the box get’s closed and the click on share button. Click on Share and the status will now only be available to the people whom you added in the custom privacy option.
