Once you create an account by using your phone number, follow the further steps to discover other options available on WhatsApp. To change the status, tap "Status" in the bottom horizontal navigation bar. Next, tap the "+" in the top right corner to add a new custom status. You can tap on ‘clear status’ to delete them all. To initiate a conversation, tap "Chats" in the navigation bar. Then tap the pencil icon in the top right corner. By doing so you can select a contact to start a new WhatsApp message with. You will be taken to a new chat window where you can type a text message or share multimedia files. One tick next to your message means that it was delivered to the server. When you see two check marks, it means that it was delivered to the recipient's device.  You should tap the "Settings" icon in the navigation bar to check for further setting options available on WhatsApp. You can edit your name or profile picture, tapping on "Profile." You can edit the font size, chat wallpaper, message timestamp settings, download settings, tap "Chat Settings."To message a friend on WhatsApp, they must be available in your phone's contacts and they should have a WhatsApp account.
